Gilgit-Baltistan officers visit LDA for urban planning briefing

Lahore: A 55-member delegation of officers from Gilgit-Baltistan visited the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) headquarters to review its urban planning and administrative systems. Additional DG Housing Owais Mushtaq welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed briefing on LDA’s operations, including master planning, urban development, and ongoing infrastructure projects. Officials highlighted digital reforms such as online mapping, e-governance portals, and automated approval systems aimed at improving efficiency and transparency. The delegation was also informed about sustainable urban development initiatives under the government’s vision to make Lahore a more livable city. Special focus areas including Data Darbar, Neela Gumbad, Gulberg, and Railway Station surroundings were discussed, followed by a visit to the LDA Citizen Facilitation Center.
