CM Maryam Nawaz launches WASA in 41 districts, unveils sewerage fleet

Punjab: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched WASA services across 41 districts for the first time in Punjab’s history, along with the inauguration of the sewerage fleet under Phase One. Officials stated that 552 modern machines and vehicles have been deployed in 15 districts, including jetting machines, suction units, de-silting equipment, water bowsers and dewatering pumps. In the next phase, 937 additional machines will be provided to 22 more districts. Authorities highlighted that the initiative aims to improve drainage systems, ensure quick response during monsoon rains and reduce urban flooding risks. The project is expected to enhance sanitation infrastructure and provide significant relief to citizens across Punjab.
