Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met a seven-member delegation led by Tashkent Governor Zoir Mirzaev. During the meeting, both sides agreed to declare Punjab and Tashkent as sister provinces and formed a special committee to strengthen cooperation. The two sides discussed collaboration in tourism, agriculture, livestock, meat processing, beverages and citrus fruit sectors to enhance economic ties. Uzbekistan also proposed establishing “Babur Park” in Lahore to strengthen cultural relations. Both sides emphasized expanding trade, investment and tourism opportunities between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
