Punjab launches grand crackdown against petrol hoarding and profiteering

Punjab: The Punjab government has launched a grand operation against petrol hoarding and profiteering following directives from Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority (PERA) has been activated to monitor petrol pumps and take strict action against those creating artificial shortages. Authorities warned that pumps involved in illegal hoarding or overcharging will be sealed immediately and their licenses cancelled. Officials stated that sufficient petroleum reserves are available across the province and urged citizens not to believe rumors. The government also warned that those spreading false claims of fuel shortages or exploiting the situation will face strict legal action.
