Qatar warns Iran to ‘pay a price’ after attack on its territory

Doha: Qatar’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Iran’s reported strike on Qatari territory, warning that such an attack cannot go unanswered. Officials described the incident as a violation of national sovereignty and said the state reserves the right to respond under international law. Authorities emphasised the need to protect civilians and critical infrastructure amid rising regional tensions. The warning comes as Gulf security concerns intensify following recent cross-border military activity. Analysts say continued escalation could heighten geopolitical risk across the region, potentially influencing investor sentiment, energy markets and cross-border real estate flows in key Gulf property hubs.
