WASA orders clearance of all ponding points before monsoon

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza has directed authorities to clear all ponding points across the city within 15 days to ensure smooth drainage ahead of the monsoon season. During a meeting of operations directorates, officials were instructed to propose practical and long-term solutions for each identified location. The MD emphasized that sustainable measures must be implemented, including installation of pipelines, dewatering sets, and necessary machinery where required. He stressed that no ponding point should remain active during monsoon rains. Authorities have been asked to submit immediate action plans to ensure timely execution and improved urban drainage performance across the city.
