WASA Lahore intensifies recovery drive, strict action against defaulters

Lahore: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of WASA Lahore MD Ghufran Ahmed to review progress on revenue collection and recovery campaigns. Town directors and deputy directors (revenue) participated in the session. Officials highlighted that ongoing recovery drives across all towns were reviewed, including actions taken against defaulters. The MD directed authorities to accelerate efforts on a war footing to meet revenue targets and ensure financial stability of WASA. Strict instructions were issued to disconnect connections of non-paying consumers, while maintaining transparency and efficiency in the recovery process. Experts believe improved revenue collection will strengthen service delivery and support infrastructure maintenance in the city.
