Islamabad: The federal government has supported a review of the Monal Restaurant demolition case in Margalla Hills, Islamabad. During the hearing at the Federal Constitutional Court, a three-member bench led by Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi postponed the case to the second week of July 2026. The court rejected an immediate reopening request from the restaurant. Justice Rizvi criticized prior Supreme Court decisions, emphasizing the need to hear all parties before issuing verdicts. The government cited the new 2024 Wildlife Board law, suggesting the previous demolition order could be reconsidered. The court, however, stated it will follow due legal process without rushing any judgment.
