South Air has received approval to launch new domestic flight routes connecting Peshawar with Quetta and Lahore, while also announcing a new Islamabad-Multan service. The new routes are expected to improve air connectivity for passengers across Pakistan and provide travellers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with alternatives to long road journeys. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi welcomed the development and appreciated the Pakistan Aviation Authority and South Air for approving and introducing the services. The Peshawar-Lahore route is expected to benefit passengers travelling for business, education, tourism and other purposes, while the Peshawar-Quetta connection will strengthen links between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The expansion is also expected to provide passengers with more domestic travel options.
