Rawalpindi Ring Road to Open for Traffic in First Week of July

Rawalpindi: The Rs47 billion Rawalpindi Ring Road project is in its final stages and is expected to open for traffic in the first week of July. Deputy Project Director Ashfaq Sulheri confirmed that asphalt work on the 38-kilometer route has been completed. Only finishing works such as lane markings, drainage, fencing, landscaping, signboards, and lighting remain. The project stretches from Baanth on GT Road to Thalian and includes five interchanges. An industrial zone is also planned along the corridor.
