Punjab’s “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program hits new milestone

Lahore: Punjab’s “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program has achieved a historic milestone, distributing over 1.66 lakh interest-free housing loans and disbursing more than Rs. 215.76 billion for home construction. To date, 1,05,594 homes are completed with thousands of families already moved in. Currently, 28,453 houses are under construction, and work on 32,048 more is set to begin soon. The program has received 12,11,954 applications, providing low-income families with access to affordable housing. Special emphasis has been placed on equitable opportunities across rural and urban Punjab, benefiting men, women, and transgender communities alike, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive housing development.
