Punjab speeds up clean water program, appoints DG Projects

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: The Punjab government has accelerated efforts to improve the Clean Water Program, with Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal issuing key directives to enhance planning and execution. Mazhar Khan has been assigned additional charge as DG Projects of the Clean Water Authority while continuing his duties as Chief Engineer LDA-II. Authorities have been instructed to ensure uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water, develop a modern water testing laboratory, and strengthen field operations and maintenance systems. Immediate resolution of public complaints has also been emphasized. Officials reiterated their commitment to implementing the Chief Minister’s vision and improving water service delivery across urban areas.
