Punjab Seals 8 Factories After 263 Anti-Smog Inspections

Lahore: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab has reported fresh enforcement action against industrial units contributing to air pollution across the province.

According to the latest 24-hour enforcement update, EPA teams inspected 263 industrial units, identified 28 environmental violations, sealed 8 units and imposed fines totalling Rs400,000.

The action is part of Punjab’s ongoing anti-smog enforcement campaign, which focuses on industrial emissions and compliance with environmental regulations. EPA has also been using specialised field teams and surveillance technology to identify industrial pollution sources.

Citizens can report smoke-emitting factories and other environmental violations through the official EPA Punjab helpline 1373 or the Green Punjab complaint system.
