Punjab releases Rs33bn for Suthra Punjab and key hospital budgets

Lahore: Punjab Finance Department has released major budget allocations for the Suthra Punjab Authority, hospitals, and public service institutions, with Rs. 33 billion issued to improve cleanliness operations across Lahore and the province. The funds will support sanitation systems, field operations, worker payments, and pending commitments, including the announced Rs. 10,000 Eid-related payment for workers. The department has also released healthcare funds, including Rs. 100 million for one hospital, Rs. 99 million for Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, Rs. 87 million for Nawaz Sharif Yakki Gate Hospital, Rs. 508 million for Children’s Hospital, and Rs. 625 million for PHA Lahore. Can timely budget releases improve sanitation, health services, and urban confidence?
