Punjab Livestock rewards top field officers for farmer service performance

Lahore: Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department has reviewed its performance for July 2025 to June 2026 and announced “Top Performers Field Performance Awards” for officers and staff who achieved strong results in veterinary services, artificial insemination, vaccination, mobile veterinary dispensaries, ultrasound, treatment, and enforcement. Secretary Livestock Ahmed Aziz Tarar said field officers and staff are the department’s real strength, as they deliver government facilities directly to livestock farmers. He said performance-based recognition promotes merit, transparency, accountability, and healthy competition. Improved livestock services can raise farmer income, strengthen dairy production, support rural business activity, and indirectly improve land use and rural property value. Can stronger field services help modernize Punjab’s livestock economy?
