Lahore: The Punjab government has set up special tribunals at the district level to expedite hearings and decisions on cases of illegal occupation of land and other immovable properties. Specific session judges have been designated to preside over these tribunals under the Property Ownership Law. The initiative aims to provide timely justice to affected citizens, reduce case backlogs, and ensure effective protection of property rights. Legal experts note that these specialized forums will offer a dedicated platform for resolving disputes quickly and efficiently. The government considers this measure a key step in strengthening the rule of law, enhancing investor confidence, and improving the property sector’s regulatory environment.
