Lahore – The Punjab government has officially enforced the Punjab Labor Code 2026, creating a unified legal framework to strengthen workers’ rights across the province. The law consolidates multiple labor regulations, prohibits forced, bonded, and child labor, and introduces protections for gig, app-based, ride-hailing, and remote workers for the first time. It also enhances workplace safety, harassment protections, and wage transparency, ensuring broader legal recognition and benefits for all employees.
