Punjab development projects enter new phase

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met members of the assembly, who appreciated ongoing development and beautification projects across the province. The meeting highlighted road construction and expansion, drainage systems, clean water supply, model village initiatives, and the Suthra Punjab cleanliness system being introduced in rural areas. Lawmakers also praised the construction, repair, and expansion of 13,000 roads across Punjab. The chief minister said major health, housing, transport, and agriculture projects are moving forward, including upgraded health clinics, cancer hospital, medical city, autism school, cardiology facilities, stroke centers, Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, and electric buses. These initiatives may improve public services, connectivity, housing access, and investor confidence. Can this development push reshape Punjab’s urban and rural growth?
