Punjab approves Rs 31 billion for infrastructure and development projects

Ali Raza Wajid: Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved development projects worth Rs 31 billion in its 71st meeting chaired by Chairman P&D Board Dr. Naeem Rauf. Officials stated that the approved funds will be allocated to multiple infrastructure, transport and healthcare initiatives across Punjab. Authorities highlighted that key projects include road construction and rehabilitation, expansion of urban markets, provision of ICU beds in hospitals and feasibility studies for regional railway tracks and high-speed rail between Lahore and Rawalpindi. Experts believe that these investments will strengthen infrastructure, improve healthcare facilities and support long-term economic and regional connectivity in the province.
