Punjab Approves Rs. 30 Billion Signal-Free Corridor Project

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a major 25-kilometer signal-free corridor stretching from Islamabad Expressway to Peshawar Road. The project, costing around Rs. 30 billion, will feature nine underpasses and three flyovers. Work is starting immediately and is scheduled for completion by April next year. Maryam Nawaz said Rawalpindi has seen more development in the last year and a half than ever before, crediting the momentum to PML-N’s leadership. She added that national development accelerates when her party is in power. The new corridor is expected to significantly ease traffic between the twin cities and support broader infrastructure upgrades underway in Rawalpindi, improving mobility for daily commuters and strengthening urban connectivity across the region.
