Probe Launched Into Alleged Multi-Billion Rupee Scam in Sindh Government Projects

Investigations have been launched into an alleged multi-billion rupee scam involving government development contracts in Sindh. According to officials, a private contractor firm reportedly secured contracts worth billions of rupees over the past three years from multiple provincial departments but failed to execute work on the ground. The Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment has initiated inquiries against the company’s owners, seeking detailed records from departments including education works, public health engineering, works and services, and municipal authorities. Investigators have requested information on awarded contracts, completed work, payments released, and the officials who authorized disbursements. Authorities stated that the investigation aims to establish accountability, prevent misuse of public funds, and ensure transparency in government development and infrastructure projects.
