Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Increases Fuel Prices by Rs 26.77 Per Litre

On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a significant hike in fuel prices, raising the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) and petrol by Rs 26.77 per litre. Despite no clear necessity for an increase in petrol prices, a nearly Rs 27 per litre additional tax was imposed to elevate the price. As a result, the price of HSD now stands at Rs 380.19 per litre, up from Rs 353.42 per litre, reflecting a 7.5% increase in the cost. This move has sparked discussions regarding its impact on the public and economy.
