Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on improving facilities for overseas Pakistanis at Pakistani embassies, digitizing document attestation, simplifying complaint registration, and enabling digital payments from abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors, Ministry of Interior, FIA, Ministry of IT, and senior officials briefed the prime minister on ongoing reforms. The meeting was informed that power of attorney and property buying and selling systems have been introduced for overseas Pakistanis, while QR codes are being used to simplify document attestation and complaint registration. The attestation system is also being linked with HEC, IBCC, NADRA, and police databases. Can these digital reforms make overseas services faster and more transparent?
