Pakistan’s Cement Exports Decline for Fourth Consecutive Month

Pakistan’s cement exports have declined for the fourth consecutive month despite steady growth in domestic demand. According to data released by the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, total cement despatches in December 2025 rose marginally to 4.347 million tons, driven mainly by a 6.42 percent increase in local sales. However, export despatches dropped sharply by 20.66 percent year-on-year, falling to 621,685 tons. North-based cement mills recorded strong domestic growth, while exports from the south also declined. During the first half of the current fiscal year, overall cement despatches increased by 9.67 percent, supported by higher domestic consumption, whereas exports fell by 3.73 percent. Industry experts note that weakening exports reflect regional competition and logistical challenges.
