Islamabad: Pakistan’s imports from the United States increased by 38.93 percent to $3.265 billion during fiscal year 2025-26, compared with $2.350 billion in the preceding year, according to trade data compiled by the State Bank of Pakistan. Pakistan’s exports to the US recorded comparatively modest growth of 1.55 percent, reaching $6.125 billion from $6.031 billion. The United States remained Pakistan’s largest export destination in North America, accounting for nearly 94 percent of exports to the region. Overall exports to North America rose 1.32 percent to $6.503 billion, while regional imports increased 6.52 percent to $3.822 billion. The rise in American imports comes amid efforts to expand bilateral trade and narrow Pakistan’s trade surplus with the US.
