Pakistan Likely to Increase Petrol and Diesel Prices From July 18 Amid Global Oil Surge

Pakistan is expected to revise petrol and diesel prices upward from July 18 following continued volatility in international crude oil markets. According to media reports, the price of high-speed diesel may increase by up to Rs40 per litre, while petrol could become around Rs10 per litre more expensive. Officials are also considering reducing the petroleum levy to ease the burden on consumers. The final pricing decision will be taken after reviewing global oil prices, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, and recommendations from the relevant authorities before the next fortnightly fuel price announcement.
