However, buyers should separately consider the project’s regulatory position. The Rawalpindi Development Authority’s latest-news page carries a public notice dated July 23, 2026 stating that New Metro City is not an RDA-approved housing scheme. Earlier records reported approval of a layout plan in 2022, but that historical step should not be presented as overriding the authority’s latest regulatory notice.
