NDMA Issues Three-Day Fog Alert for Punjab and Islamabad

The National Disaster Management Authority has issued a three-day dense fog alert for several areas of southern and central Punjab, warning of reduced visibility and increased road safety risks. According to the advisory, dense fog is expected in Lahore, Jhang, Multan, Khanewal, and Mian Channu, while severe fog is likely in Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, and Vehari. Fog may also develop during night and early morning hours in upper Sindh, particularly around Sukkur, as well as in Islamabad. NDMA has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, especially during low-visibility hours, and urged drivers to reduce speed, use fog lights, and follow traffic rules to prevent accidents.
