Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq met students participating in the Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad Bootcamp and announced that students from Balochistan would be given more internship opportunities at the National Assembly on a priority basis. He said internship and training programmes are already being offered to students from 21 universities. The speaker highlighted Balochistan’s importance, the economic potential of Reko Diq, and the need for education, reading, and continuous learning. He also said Pakistan’s first AI-enabled parliamentary system has been introduced in the National Assembly, where agendas, bills, reports, and parliamentary documents are being digitized. Practical measures are also underway to increase women’s representation in National Assembly employment to 30 percent.
