MULTAN: Authorities have decided to launch an electric bus service across Multan Division to provide safe, modern, and environment-friendly public transport. Under the project, 114 electric buses will operate across the division, supported by 470 modern bus shelters. In the first phase, 45 electric buses will be introduced on three routes in Multan city, followed by 24 buses on five additional routes in the second phase. The project also covers other districts, including Khanewal, Vehari, and Lodhran, where bus shelters and routes are planned. The Multan Division Commissioner has directed departments to ensure transparency, quality, and timely completion before service launch.
