LWMC Steps Up Cleanliness Checks Across Lahore Markets and Roads

Lahore: Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) teams are continuing field monitoring and waste collection across major roads, commercial markets and residential areas of the city under the Suthra Punjab cleanliness programme.
According to the September 26 media tickers provided for this report, LWMC CEO Shehryar Arif Khan visited Gawalmandi, Kacha Nisbat Road, Temple Road, Lakshmi Chowk and Lytton Road to review sanitation arrangements. He also sought feedback on door-to-door waste collection from residents in areas around Mozang and Abid Market. The update further states that monitoring was carried out around Mayo Hospital, Anarkali, Qurtaba Chowk, Tollinton Market and Camp Jail.
The media update says commercial-market waste-container clearance and anti-littering activities are also underway. Shopkeepers have been advised to keep dustbins outside their businesses and dispose of waste through designated collection arrangements.
