LDA speeds up Ghazan Road restructuring amid public inconvenience

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has accelerated reconstruction work on Ghazan Road from Allah Hu Chowk to Johar Town, aiming to fully restore the major route. According to the contractor, the old surface has been removed and a complete rebuilding process is underway, including stone base, compaction, and proper road restoration. If weather conditions remain favorable, the road is expected to reach water-bound level within a month and be completed within approximately 40 days. However, residents have expressed concern over severe inconvenience caused by ongoing work, including traffic congestion and disrupted flow due to one-way operations. Citizens have urged authorities to expedite completion to reduce daily hardships.
