LDA seals 20 properties, demolishes illegal constructions in Lahore crackdown

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched an operation against illegal constructions and commercial violations in several areas of the city. Acting on the instructions of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, the Town Planning Wing carried out enforcement actions in Gulberg, New Garden Town, Sabzazar and Allama Iqbal Town. During the operation, several illegal structures were demolished while 20 properties were sealed due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercialisation fees. The sealed properties included private schools, restaurants, food points, salons, workshops, shops and offices. The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner Asad-uz-Zaman. Authorities stated that strict actions against illegal commercial buildings and fee defaulters will continue without discrimination.
