LDA seals 181 properties in major operation

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Lahore: On the directions of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, the LDA Town Planning Wing carried out a major operation against illegal constructions, unauthorized commercial buildings, and commercial fee defaulters across LDA-controlled areas. Teams took action on Raiwind Road, Defence Road, Canal Road, Gulshan Ravi, Gujjarpura, Shadman, Gulberg, Model Town, Gul Daman Scheme, College Road, and Mustafa Town. Several illegal structures were demolished, while 181 properties were sealed, including schools, academies, pharmacies, clinics, grocery stores, workshops, restaurants, offices, and commercial outlets. The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner One Asaduz Zaman and Chief Town Planner Two Azhar Ali. Such enforcement can strengthen building control, improve urban planning discipline, and protect legal real estate investment. Will strict action reduce illegal commercial growth in Lahore?
