LDA approves FY2026-27 budget, allocates billions for LDA City, structure plan roads and urban regeneration

Lahore: The LDA Governing Body, chaired by Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmad, approved the authority’s budget for FY2026-27, with major allocations proposed for infrastructure, housing schemes and urban development. According to the details presented at the meeting, PKR 10 billion has been earmarked as a Punjab government loan for structure plan roads, along with PKR 3.6 billion for ADP schemes. Around PKR 12.5 billion has been allocated for development works in LDA City, PKR 13.5 billion for sustainable development and urban regeneration, and PKR 4 billion for LDA Avenue-I. The meeting also approved amendments to the LDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2019. A revenue target of PKR 17 billion has been set for LDA Town Planning for FY2026-27, indicating a strong focus on development activity and revenue mobilisation.
