Lahore: Restoration and development work around Lahore’s historic Neela Gumbad is progressing alongside the construction of an underground parking plaza. The approximately 350-year-old heritage site is being restored as part of wider efforts to preserve historic areas of Lahore. According to recent project updates, the grey structure of the Neela Gumbad underground parking plaza has been completed, with finishing work continuing across its three basement levels. Earlier official information stated that the plaza was planned with three underground basement levels and associated urban infrastructure. Heritage conservation work at Neela Gumbad is being carried out separately from the parking construction, with the wider project also focused on improving the surrounding historic area.
