Lahore CTO leads traffic awareness and enforcement drive

Ali Raza Wajid: Lahore: Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi led a traffic awareness and enforcement campaign at Faisal Chowk along with traffic volunteers and the education unit. Addressing the media, he stated that the primary goal is not just issuing challans but educating citizens about traffic rules. Wardens have been directed to issue warnings for minor violations, especially to women and elderly citizens, while strict action will be taken against serious offenses such as lane violations. Authorities also emphasized smog control measures, banning entry of unfit vehicles and uncovered sand-loaded trolleys at night. Awareness pamphlets were distributed to promote safe driving practices and ensure road safety across the city.
