Lahore beautification drive adds cultural monuments on Canal Road

Muzamil Awan: Lahore:The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has installed cultural monuments along Canal Road to enhance the city’s beauty in line with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Officials stated that traditional elements such as bullock carts, boats and folk art representations have been introduced to reflect Punjab’s cultural heritage. Authorities highlighted that the initiative aims to promote a visually appealing urban environment while preserving local culture. Chairman PHA Ghazali Saleem Butt directed staff to actively contribute to beautification efforts and improve public spaces across Lahore. Experts believe such initiatives enhance urban aesthetics, improve tourism appeal and contribute to a more vibrant city environment.
