Karachi to get two new bridges as construction begins August 14

Karachi: Mayor Murtaza Wahab has announced that two new bridges will be completed in the city within three months each, with construction scheduled to begin on August 14. The bridges will be built at Kolachi Road and Disco Bakery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, two important locations linked with traffic movement and daily public commute. The projects are expected to improve road connectivity, reduce traffic pressure, and support smoother travel for residents and businesses. Better infrastructure can also increase commercial activity, improve access to surrounding neighborhoods, and support real estate value in nearby areas. Timely completion will be important for public trust and urban mobility. Can these bridges help ease Karachi’s growing traffic burden?
