Islamabad: The Cooperative Societies Department has issued a show-cause notice to the former management committee of the Federal Employees Cooperative Housing Society (FECHS), commonly known as Jinnah Garden, over alleged violations involving land use, allotments, society records and finances. An inquiry report dated April 7, 2026 listed 11 allegations, including alleged conversion of residential plots to commercial use, carving out plots from land reserved for parks, schools, playgrounds and graveyards, irregular allotments and transfers, and alleged manipulation of official records. The former committee denied wrongdoing during the inquiry. The department warned that disputed allotments or transfers could face cancellation and that further legal or disciplinary action may follow after due process.
