Illegal restaurant encroachment alleged in Samanabad park; residents demand action

Lahore: Residents of Samanabad have raised concerns over alleged illegal commercial use of a public park, claiming that a local restaurant has been operating by placing tables and chairs inside the park area for several years. Locals allege that the encroachment has reduced public space and affected the park’s environment. They have urged DG PHA Raja Mansoor to take immediate notice and investigate the matter. Citizens also demanded strict action against any officials found negligent or involved. Authorities have not yet issued an official response. Residents further claim that similar encroachments may exist in other parks across Lahore and have called for a citywide inspection to protect public recreational spaces.
