Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Karim has directed all police personnel to address citizens respectfully as “Sir/Madam” or “Sahib/Sahiba” under ongoing reform measures aligned with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision. The reforms include phased distribution of body cameras, installation of panic buttons outside police stations, full activation of CCTV systems, and centralized monitoring through Safe City mechanisms. Officials said stricter accountability, KPI-based performance reviews, and enhanced supervision will be enforced. The initiative aims to improve public perception, transparency, and service delivery, while ensuring respectful handling of women and child-related cases across Punjab.
