Work Orders Issued for 46 Cities Under Punjab Development Program

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Local Government Punjab, Zeeshan Rafiq, announced that work orders have been issued for 46 out of 51 cities under the Rs. 304 billion Punjab Development Program (PDP). The mega project includes laying 5,397 km of sewer lines, constructing 181 km of storm water drains, building 67 underground water tanks, and installing wastewater treatment plants with a daily capacity of 323 million gallons. Additionally, 6,000 km of streets and roads will be constructed or rehabilitated. Officials confirmed that designs for multiple drains, trunk sewers, and disposal stations have been updated, with strict timelines set to ensure completion before the monsoon season.
