Islamabad: Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired a meeting with senior officers to review police operations, Safe City monitoring and the use of modern technology. The meeting covered security arrangements, crime prevention, emergency response and faster handling of public complaints. The IGP directed officers to improve coordination and use Safe City cameras and digital systems more effectively to protect citizens. The meeting also reaffirmed that police recruitment should remain transparent and based on merit, while citizens should receive timely and professional services. Islamabad Police officially describes Safe City as a technology-based system supporting surveillance, crime prevention and quick police response. No new recruitment drive, number of vacancies, budget or project deadline was announced.
