Hub planned to become Pakistan’s petroleum logistics and trading hub

The government is working to develop Hub as a major petroleum logistics and trading hub to strengthen Pakistan’s energy infrastructure. The proposed project aims to enhance the country’s capacity to handle large crude oil and petroleum product vessels. Currently, Karachi and Port Qasim face limitations in accommodating very large vessels. The new facility could help reduce pressure on existing ports and improve the efficiency of Pakistan’s oil import and supply network.
