Health Minister visits Raiwind DHQ Hospital, orders action over mismanagement

Lahore: Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir paid a surprise visit to DHQ Hospital Raiwind to review healthcare facilities and management. During the inspection, he expressed serious concern over overcrowding in the emergency ward, where two patients were found sharing a single bed despite availability in other wards. The minister directed immediate shifting of patients and ordered urgent steps to address staff shortages and improve hospital management. He also inspected various departments including emergency, wards and help counters, issuing on-the-spot instructions for better service delivery. Authorities were directed to arrange additional medical staff, including anesthetists and radiologists, on an emergency basis. The minister emphasized improving patient care while ensuring efficient hospital operations.
