Dubai: Etihad Rail’s Dubai passenger station is scheduled to open on September 30, 2026, as part of the UAE’s expanding national passenger rail network. The official rollout plan was unveiled after the inauguration of the Mohamed bin Zayed City Passenger Train Station in Abu Dhabi earlier this year.
According to the official timeline, an introductory passenger-service phase between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah began on June 30, 2026, while Dubai Train Station and Al Dhaid Train Station are set to open with the network’s official launch on September 30, 2026. Stations in Al Dhafra are planned for December 30, 2026, and the route is expected to be completed with Sharjah Train Station on March 30, 2027.UAE officials say the passenger rail network is meant to improve connectivity between cities, economic hubs and key destinations while supporting sustainable transport and wider urban development. WAM also reported that fares on the Abu Dhabi–Fujairah route start from AED 55 for Comfort Class and AED 120 for Premium Class, while the fleet includes 13 trains with a capacity of up to 400 passengers each.
