Dubai to launch zero-interest ‘Rent Now, Pay Later’ option for tenants from September 2026

Dubai: A new “Rent Now, Pay Later” service is expected to launch in September 2026, allowing eligible tenants to spread annual rent across up to 12 monthly instalments at zero interest, according to recent reporting. The initiative reportedly involves the Dubai Land Department and a local bank and is designed to reduce the burden of large upfront rental payments. Dubai has already moved toward more flexible rental payments through DLD’s Flexi Rent programme, launched in June, which enables tenants of participating real estate companies to choose monthly, quarterly and other payment schedules. The shift could make renting more manageable and further modernise Dubai’s rapidly evolving rental market.
