Dubai to Cut Villa Permit Time From Days to Minutes Using AI

Dubai: Dubai Municipality has launched a project to develop an AI-powered building permit system that will reduce the approval process for private and investment villas from several days to just minutes. The AI agent will automatically read architectural drawings and documents, check compliance with the Dubai Building Code, review planning requirements, assess structural safety and examine mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Applicants will also be able to receive immediate feedback if drawings require corrections.
The project will be implemented in three phases over 26 weeks. After development and testing, the system will be piloted with selected engineering consultancy firms before being fully rolled out through the Build in Dubai platform.
