Dubai: Dubai Municipality has announced the completion of more than 107 urban development projects worth AED1.6 billion during 2026. The announcement, made on October 18, covers improvements to public beaches, parks, neighbourhoods and community facilities across the emirate.
The projects were delivered through Dubai Municipality’s Public Facilities Agency. They include developments at Al Mamzar Beaches, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, new neighbourhood parks, community gathering spaces, educational facilities and improvements in Dubai’s countryside and rural areas. These initiatives aim to provide better public spaces and essential services for residents and visitors.
According to Dubai Municipality, 36% of the total investment was allocated to public beach development, while 22% went towards city beautification, landscaping and agricultural projects. The authority also reported creating more than 100 investment opportunities across public facilities, including opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency, said the developments focus on improving daily life and ensuring the long-term quality of public infrastructure. The programme supports Dubai’s Quality of Life Strategy 2033 and Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. While the overall project count and value have been officially confirmed, a complete list of individual project costs and opening dates has not been published in the announcement.
